We’re super excited to tell you that tonight we’ve launched “version 0.1” of the ReadBurner Platform in partnership with one of our (and yours, according to share counts) favorite blogs – The Inquisitr!   Duncan Riley – Founder and Editor of Inquisitr – has launched a fresh new interface that features a new section called “Best of Web” – much of which comes from ReadBurner, which means it’s based on what you’re sharing.

While it might just look like a bunch of cool links, what this actually marks is an important development in the evolution of ReadBurner.  As we’ve said since the start, we’re all about analyzing what’s being shared on the Web and then giving developers and publishers tools that allow them to build applications with that data.  “Best of Web” on Inquisitr represents just that, as Duncan is leveraging data from ReadBurner to provide his audience with unique content that increases engagement and page views.

In the coming days and weeks, we’ll be offering developers a variety of ways to use ReadBurner data, some of which will be based on new features you’ll see on ReadBurner.com too.   If you’re interested in incorporating ReadBurner data into your website or applications, get in touch!

Meanwhile, huge thanks to Duncan and his team at Inquisitr, which has already moved into the Top 1,000 blogs worldwide in less than six months since launching.  With its great mix of content (Adam is a huge fan of both the latest Web apps and The Hills), Inquisitr is the perfect playground to test some of the stuff we’re working on, and we’re greatly appreciative of the opportunity.

Stay tuned for more announcements soon, as well as the return of our ReadBurner Weekly Live podcast this Wednesday at the usual time and place.
