You use it, I use it. We love it.

Google Reader is great, but want to get the most out of it? Here’s a quick list of features/tips that you might not have known about.

If you have some of your own, comment away!

5. You can invite your friends to use Google Reader, by clicking friends and scrolling down and checking off all of your buddies. More friends, more shares, more new news to read!

4. Read All items newsriver style. Don’t want to click around to each of the blogs you subscribe to in reader? Click Read All Items. Then you can quickly scan all of the news items!

3. Keyboard shortcuts. Share with Shift+S, T for tags, Mark an item unread to go back to later by typing M. Want to see if Mike Arrington wrote a new post? Type R to refresh!

2. Mark everything as read. Tired of Gizmodo for the week? Click Mark all as read to start from a clean slate. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with my Twitter RSS feed with friends and do this.

1. Categorize your subscriptions! I have a group for bloggers, vloggers, tech news, green news, and world news. When you subscribe you can put that feed into a group or click a new one! Saves me time when I want to shut out world news specifically!!

There ya have it. Got tips? Share em!
