I love Friday’s. Not because it means the weekend is near (well, that too), but because it’s usually a slow news day, and thus, usually grants me time to opine on whatever topic tickles my fancy. Today at Mashable, I did just that, writing a post called “RSS Needs an Easy Button.”
The basic idea is that I think mainstream media sites need to do a better job of evangelizing RSS to their users. While everyone from The New York Times to The National Enquirer have implemented RSS feeds, no one is going to click an RSS icon if they don’t know what it is.
