Today, Louis Gray wrote a post about the potential for a conflict with Adam Ostrow (Editor-In-Chief at Web 2.0/Tech blog Mashable), who along with myself and Eric Kerr have purchased ReadBurner.

Luckily, he reached out to the Mashable folks to discuss it and as Adam explains, there is no problem here.

Why?

Because we don’t want posts or stories written about us unless there’s something to write about. And from what I’ve learned, blog posts do not equal success. A killer application with a dedicated team (which we have) and a dedicated base of users (which we have) behind it creates success.

Rest assured that you will see innovative things here, things that Adam and I have discussed for years. Things that Eric has been watching unfold, things that Alex intended to happen if he just had the help to do it.

But there is no conflict here. And I’m sure as we innovate and build with ReadBurner, other blogs will take notice and write about it as well. And if not, we won’t fall short of our goals.

Failure is not an option.
